Fantasy, Sweet Romance, and Political Intrigue
I just finished reading Dragon Slayer by an author I hadn't read before, Isabella Carter. This isn't her first short story or book, but this seems to be the first novel she has written with plans for a larger series. I wasn't aware of the serial nature of the book when I began reading Dragon Slayer, but I am not unhappy with my choice. I haven't read such a quality fantasy writing with awesome dragons, soldiers fighting, and kings and nobles backstabbing each other while still keeping the romance sweet enough to be young-adult friendly. I am very much looking forward to the next book, not only to find out certain plot advances but also to see the relationships between Mallory and his family, Ingram and his family, and Mallory and Ingram progress! I highly recommend this book!
