I have been waiting for so long to see more of Lorenz's cage-fighting werewolves! I love that she went BACK in chronilogical time and gave us the story between Ashland and (Dan) Stoltz. They have such chemistry between them, even when they are only imagining each other's bodies! The ending was a little predictable, but it did make me go back and read Tor again! I would recommend this book to anyone who enjoys slave/master books or the writing style of Lorenz!

Heartwarming Sci-Fi Love!

I absolutely loved this book! The world building is phenomenal and the characters of the lost king and his friend/lover/protector are fully developed. The sadness of war is always close-at-hand, but the two lovers really stick by each other. I am definitely going to read the sequel!
